Medjoul: This is Jordan River's premium date. It is extremely large, soft and sweet. The color varies from light brown in the Southern Arava valley, to a dark brown in Northern Israel. Weight: 15-23 grams per date. Availability: October through Febuary.

Amari: A large, Attractive date, reddish brown in color. Often associated with the Medjoul date. High fiber content. Weight: 15-23 grams per date. Available all year round.

Halawi: A soft, madium sized, sweet date. Distinguished from Hadrawi by its elongated shape and slightly lighter color. Weight: 7-10 grams per date. Available all year round.

Deglet Nour: Literally "date of light". Traditionally, Jordan River's most popular variety. Known for its excellent flavor. Harvested semi-dry, light to dark brown in color. Available in its natural state or at various moisture levels. Weight: 8-11 grams per date. Available all year round.

Hadrawi: A sweet fleshy date, similar to Halawi, the season's first date to ripen and be harvested.Dark brown mahagony in color. Weight: 7-10 grams per date. Available all year round.

Deri: Distinct caramel-like taste, shiny brownish-black color. Weight: 7-10 grams per date. Available all year round.

Zahidi: Popularly known as the "Golden Date" beacause of its gold color. A round, medium-sized date, not as sweet as other varieties, also used for baking. Weight: 7-10 grams per date. Available all year round.
